Yurt Alert! My friend Kate Pokorny is pretty awesome. She is, in her words, trying to crochet a functional yurt out of a continuous strand of felted wool (think: really huge yarn) to create a beautiful, self-supporting housing structure (visualize a woolly igloo). The video above explains it all, and to be honest it’s really incredible to see her taking something she is passionate about to another level. Support her here.
